Departure from Kampala at 6:00 AM for a full-day road trip to Moroto, northeastern Uganda (approx. 11–12 hours). Scenic drive through Jinja, Mbale, and Soroti, with stops for refreshments and photo opportunities. En route views of the Mount Elgon foothills and savannah plains of the Karamoja region. Late afternoon arrival in Moroto, the cultural capital of the Karamojong people. Traditional welcome by local hosts, including an introduction to the community. Dinner and overnight stay at Kara-Tunga Safari Camp or equivalent eco-lodge.

Participate in daily activities: cattle herding, traditional cooking, beadwork, storytelling, and indigenous survival skills. Learn about the Karamojong's nomadic pastoral lifestyle, social structures, and rituals. Enjoy a traditional dance and music performance by the community in the evening. Optional short hike to Mount Moroto for panoramic views and cultural interpretation. Dinner and overnight stay at Kara-Tunga Safari Camp or equivalent eco-lodge.

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Early breakfast and departure for Kidepo Valley National Park (approx. 4–5 hours drive). Arrive at Kidepo via the rugged and remote landscapes of Karamoja. Check in at your safari lodge or camp (Apoka Safari Lodge, Kidepo Savannah Lodge, or similar). Afternoon game drive in the Narus Valley, known for its abundance of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Sunset viewing and relaxation at the lodge. Dinner and overnight in the park at Apoka Rest Camp.

Early morning game drive to catch predators in action and observe large herds at water points. Visit to Kanangorok Hot Springs and Kidepo Valley, near the South Sudan border. Break for lunch at the lodge, followed by a short siesta. Optional cultural excursion to visit the IK people on Mount Morungole (requires a full-day hike and prior planning).
