Continue to Mbarara for a relaxing lunch before proceeding through rolling countryside to Queen Elizabeth, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon. Enjoy dinner and settle in for the night at your lodge.

Day 2

Today you’ll go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll spot a variety of wildlife, including African elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, impalas, and numerous bird species. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation, and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel within Queen Elizabeth Park, where you'll get up close to hippos, crocodiles, and other aquatic life, as well as a variety of birds on the bay. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast, set out for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. With some luck, you’ll spot these majestic cats perched high in the fig trees, lazily soaking up the sun. After this exciting game drive, continue your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, relax after the day’s adventure, and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 4

Start the day with an early breakfast and collect your packed lunch before heading to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. You’ll then set off on your trek, which can last anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the gorillas’ location and your pace. As you hike through the dense forest, your guide will point out unique bird species, trees, and other wildlife. Once you encounter the gorillas, spend an unforgettable hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the headquarters to receive your trekking certificate before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi. Known for its 29 islands and rich birdlife, the lake offers serene views and safe, bilharzia-free waters for swimming. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 5

After enjoying an early breakfast, set out on a scenic boat cruise across Lake Bunyonyi, gliding between its 29 beautiful islands, including the legendary Punishment Island. As you cruise, watch for colorful bird species and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling green hills that surround the lake. Later, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your onward flight, stopping en route for lunch and a brief pause at the equator to capture final photos and memories before concluding your safari.
