Nairobi to Taita Hills

Your journey starts early at 6:00 AM with pick-up from Nairobi in a 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser. You'll travel southeast, passing through changing landscapes—from green highlands to dry lowlands. Around 12:30 PM, you will arrive at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and check in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, relax and enjoy the view from your room or the viewing deck. At 4:00 PM, go for a game drive and look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and many types of antelope. Return to the lodge for dinner and a short rest.
At 8:30 PM, go on a night game drive to spot animals like lions, leopards, owls, and other night creatures. After the drive, return to the lodge for the night.

Taita Hills to Nairobi

Start your day early with a sunrise game drive at 6:00 AM, the best time to see animals as they are most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast at 8:30 AM, then check out at 9:30 AM and begin the drive back to Nairobi. You’ll enjoy the scenic views along the way, with a few short stops. You’ll arrive in Nairobi between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, home, or the airport—ending your safari adventure.
