Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest toward Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately two hours. Tarangire is famous for its vast landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and its large herds of elephants. As you enter the park, the game drive begins immediately, winding through open savannahs, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, the lifeline of the park during the dry season. Expect to see elephants up close, as well as zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and possibly lions or leopards lounging in the shade. Birdlife is also abundant, with over 500 species recorded.
