Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest toward Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately two hours. Tarangire is famous for its vast landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and its large herds of elephants. As you enter the park, the game drive begins immediately, winding through open savannahs, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, the lifeline of the park during the dry season. Expect to see elephants up close, as well as zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and possibly lions or leopards lounging in the shade. Birdlife is also abundant, with over 500 species recorded. After a picnic lunch inside the park and more afternoon game viewing, you will head to your lodge near Tarangire for a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay under the African sky.

Day 2
Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater
Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The journey to the crater takes about two hours, with scenic views of the highlands along the way. Upon arrival, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. The crater is a natural enclosure teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. The lush grasslands, swamps, and Acacia woodlands make it an ideal habitat for thousands of animals. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch near the hippo-filled lake in the crater floor. By late afternoon, you will ascend the crater wall and proceed to your lodge nearby in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by breathtaking views and cool highland air.

Day 3
Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
On the final day of your safari, you will head to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but diverse park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park offers a unique mix of ecosystems – groundwater forests, open plains, and a soda lake that attracts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds. Your morning game drive may reveal elephants wandering through the forest, troops of baboons, and if you're lucky, the park's famous tree-climbing lions resting on branches. Bird watchers will be in paradise here, with storks, pelicans, and colorful bee-eaters in abundance. After a relaxed picnic lunch and a final round of game viewing, you will begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your unforgettable.
