Lake Duluti & Nature Walking With Canoeing
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha. The drive to Lake Duluti is about 20 to 30 minutes, passing through rural landscapes and potentially offering glimpses of local life. Upon arrival, head straight to Lake Duluti. The most popular activity here is canoeing on the calm, emerald waters. You can rent a 2-person fiberglass canoe, often with a guide. This 1.5- to 2-hour activity allows you to glide across the lake, enjoy the peaceful ambiance, and get close to the water's edge.
Keep an eye out for birdlife, including kingfishers, fish eagles, and cormorants, and perhaps even monitor lizards basking on the shore. After canoeing, embark on a guided nature walk around the lake or through the surrounding Duluti Forest Reserve.
Pack a picnic basket and enjoy a relaxed lunch by the lake's edge in a shaded spot.

Tarangire National Park (The Home of Baobab Trees & Big Elephants)
We will pick you up from your hotel between 7:30 and 8:30 am and meet your guide. You will drive to Tarangire (a 1-hour and 45-minute drive), famous for its diverse landscape. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in the country. It provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. You will do a game drive through the park, depending on where there are reported sightings of animals (mostly predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as they are harder to spot). The herbivores (giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, etc.) are plenty to see.
Later, you will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and the animals while having lunch. Small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you off your lunch, but there is nothing to worry about.

Permanent residents of this park include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge number of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos.
The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that cannot be described in words. Meeting the Bushmen is worth the detour. They will kindly show you where and how they live and hunt. It will be a truly timeless experience.
