Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire NP

Arusha to Tarangire NP

Your safari begins with an early pickup from your hotel or the airport in Arusha. After a short briefing, you’ll drive about two hours to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants, striking baobab trees, and diverse birdlife.

The park is less crowded than others, offering a peaceful start to your safari. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, stopping for a picnic lunch at one of the scenic viewpoints near the river. Keep an eye out for lions, giraffes, wildebeest, and more. In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to Karatu, a green, hilly town near the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you’ll check in to your cozy midrange lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Karatu to Serengeti

Karatu to Serengeti

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive toward Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the highlands and optional stops at Maasai villages or the Olduvai Gorge (famous for early human fossils). You’ll enter the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate around midday and begin your first game drive across the legendary plains, home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and more. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration—millions of wildebeest and zebras on the move.

In the evening, arrive at your tented camp deep in the bush for a hearty dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 3

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Wake early for a sunrise game drive, one of the best times to spot predators in action. After breakfast back at camp, enjoy a final game drive as you exit the Serengeti and retrace your route toward the Ngorongoro Crater. You'll climb the highlands and reach a lodge near the crater rim by late afternoon.

From here, you'll have views stretching over the vast caldera. Relax and enjoy the cooler temperatures and a peaceful dinner surrounded by nature.

Day 4

Ngorongoro to Arusha

Ngorongoro to Arusha

Today is a highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. Known as one of the best places to see the Big Five—especially black rhinos—this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to thousands of animals in a relatively compact area. You’ll enjoy a half-day game drive, including a picnic lunch at the hippo pool.
In the early afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon, where your safari concludes.
