On the way, you can make an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, a world-renowned archaeological site, or visit a local Maasai boma for a cultural encounter. Continue driving through the highlands and descend from the conservation area to Karatu, a peaceful town on the outer slopes of Ngorongoro.
