Morning, Departure from Arusha: Arrange for pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. The drive to Lake Duluti is about 20-30 minutes, passing through rural landscapes and potentially offering glimpses of local life. Arrival at Lake Duluti & Canoeing. Upon arrival, head straight to the lake. The most popular activity here is canoeing on the calm, emerald waters. You can rent a two-person fiberglass canoe, often with a guide. This 1.5- to 2-hour activity allows you to glide across the lake, enjoy the peaceful ambiance, and get close to the water's edge. Keep an eye out for birdlife, including kingfishers, fish eagles, and cormorants, and perhaps even monitor lizards basking on the shore.
