Day 1

Arrival

Arrival

At 07:30, we will pick you up from your lodging in Victoria Falls, Livingstone, for the transfer to Chobe National Park.

Your Botswana guide will meet you at the Kazungula Border for a short drive to the Chobe River jetty site. At 09:30, you will board the boat to begin a 3-hour game cruise along the Chobe River into the Chobe National Park.

The river cruise is one of the trip's highlights, allowing you to get close to incredible birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous elephants and African buffalo making their way down to the river. The boat cruise ends at 12:30, just in time for lunch at the Chobe Safari Lodge.

After lunch, you will have the chance to do some last-minute shopping in Kasane as there are no shops in the park. Then, you will depart on an afternoon game drive, the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way to the river to drink. You will arrive in camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the campfire and dinner under the stars.

Start your day early with a hot cup of tea or coffee and a light continental breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive. This is the perfect time to spot big cats or rare wild dogs, as they are still active and hunting, giving you a high chance of seeing them.

By mid-to-late morning, return to camp for a delicious "bush brunch" and some time to rest. You can take a shower, read, or simply relax.

In the afternoon, after tea, we set out for another game drive. You can revisit earlier sightings or explore new areas. Chobe National Park boasts a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and rare species such as puku, eland, sable, and roan antelope.

After sunset, return to camp for a fireside chat and dinner, accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night..

You wake up at dawn to warm water being poured into your basin, accompanied by a friendly Motswana greeting of "dumela," meaning "good day."

Around mid- to late morning, you return to camp for a delicious "bush brunch" and an opportunity to take a refreshing shower.

Once you've packed up, you leave the camp for your final activity, which is usually another game drive or a boat cruise. You’ll be dropped off in Kasane or Kazungula at 14:30, and you can expect to be back at your lodge or hotel in Victoria Falls or Livingstone between 16:30 and 17:00.
