Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early morning breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel at 6:30 am. Then, you'll transfer to North-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you'll have lunch at Kabalega dinners or the Masindi hotel.

You'll proceed and enter the park with a visit to the top of the falls, where you can see the Nile's beauty perfected! You'll marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-meter canyon dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar.

Game Drive and Nile Boat Ride

You'll have a morning game drive via the Nyamsika plateau, and you'll enjoy the view. You may see some of the Big Five like elephants, lions, buffaloes, and leopards, giraffes, warthogs, bushbucks, waterbucks, heartbeasts, and many more. You'll return to the lodge for refreshment, breakfast, and lunch. Afterward, you'll prepare for a boat trip on placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls.

En route, you will see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, waterbucks, and a wide variety of birds like the stork, pelican, bee-eater, egret, and heron. The boat stops just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron". You'll take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. You'll proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

From Murchison back to Kampala

You'll wake up for an early morning breakfast at around 6:00 am and set out for an early morning game drive by 6:30 am. The timing is appropriate to catch the nocturnal hunters before they retire to their hideouts. You'll explore the major game tracks, Queen and Albert, for spectacular sightings of wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, Jackals, hyenas, Uganda kobs, oribis, buffaloes, waterbucks, Jackson's Hartebeests, bushbucks, and hopefully the elusive leopards, among others. There is an optional stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will have lunch en route. Thereafter, you'll take your leisurely drive via the villages of north-west Uganda back to Kampala or Entebbe. You will arrive in the evening. Our guide will drop you off at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

White Water Rafting in Jinja

After having an early breakfast, you'll depart from Kampala city to Jinja. The journey takes about 2 hours. While on your journey to Jinja, you will get to see Mabira forest, Uganda’s largest rainforest. Mabira has a lot of birds and some primates.

Meet up with the rafting team in Jinja and attend a briefing session, after which you will get into the vehicle and drive to the starting point, where you will also be taken through a brief exercise to familiarize yourself with the rafting experience. Make your choice between grade 3 or grade 5 rapids and begin your adventure. Rafting on the Nile River lasts between 1 to 3 hours. It is always celebrated with a cold bottle of Nile Special beer at the end.

Your driver-guide will then be ready to transfer you back to Kampala, arriving in the evening.

Optional Kampala City Tour and Departure

After a relaxed morning, you will have an optional Kampala city tour in which you will visit some of the attractions in the city, including the Namugongo martyrs shrine, Uganda museum, or choose to visit a school or orphanage. After lunch, we will drop you off at the airport for your scheduled flight back home.
