Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari representative and transferred to Planet Lodge. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the lodge. You will spend the night here in preparation for your exciting safari adventure the following day to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire national park

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During your game drive, you may spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many species of birds while exploring the beautiful savannah landscapes along the Tarangire River, which attracts animals throughout the year. After the exciting game drive, you will head to Baobab Tarangire Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the African wilderness.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you'll head into Tarangire National Park for a game drive through its diverse landscapes, marked by rolling hills, acacia woodlands, and giant baobab trees. The park is especially famous for its large elephant herds, often seen near the Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and lions. Birdwatching is excellent here, with over 500 species recorded. As you explore, you may also spot tree-climbing pythons and rare antelope like the fringe-eared oryx. The morning drive offers cooler temperatures and active wildlife before returning to camp or lodge for lunch and relaxation.

The crater is home to a high concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhino, all living within this unique volcanic caldera. You will descend to the crater floor for an exciting game drive while enjoying spectacular scenery and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. After the tour, you will drive to Friends of Serengeti Camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the peaceful surroundings near the conservation area.
