Ngorongoro Crater

Your journey begins with an early morning drive from Arusha toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you’ll descend 600 meters into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater is a wildlife haven, home to over 25,000 large animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and the rare black rhino. The unique setting — forest, lake, grassland, and swamp — provides dramatic backdrops for every encounter You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, soaking in the stunning scenery. After the game drive, ascend the crater walls and continue your journey toward central Serengeti, passing through the beautiful Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive in Serengeti before sunset for dinner and overnight at a tented camp inside the park.

Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, with thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving in search of fresh grazing. The Seronera Valley is especially rich in wildlife and offers great chances to spot big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to explore different areas, from open plains to kopjes (rocky outcrops) where lions often bask in the sun. You’ll also see elephants, giraffes, hippos, and hundreds of bird species. Your guide will tailor the day to your interests — whether you're keen on photography, predators, or rare sightings. After an action-packed day, return to camp for dinner under the stars.
