Conservation & Big Five Encounters – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Conservation & Big Five Encounters – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your journey begins with a scenic drive north from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of East Africa’s leading wildlife reserves and a shining example of conservation success. Arrive at your luxury lodge in time for lunch and a bit of rest before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the conservancy’s open plains. Keep watch for lions, elephants, giraffes, and herds of plains game, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kenya.

The next morning, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary—the only one of its kind in Kenya—where rescued chimps now live in safety. Continue to the rhino sanctuary for a moving encounter with Baraka, the blind black rhino, and the last two remaining northern white rhinos on Earth. In the afternoon, enjoy another expertly guided game drive as you explore this Big Five reserve and return to your lodge for a peaceful evening under the stars.
