Upon arrival at JRO, you’ll be warmly greeted by our friendly local representative, who will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your hotel. During the short drive, enjoy your first glimpse of Tanzania’s beautiful scenery, with its rolling landscapes, swaying palm trees, and the vibrant life of the city.

Once you arrive at the hotel, take some time to settle in, relax, and recover for your safari. Take a refreshing shower, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you prepare for your adventure.

If time allows, you can stroll around the nearby town, interact with locals, or visit a nearby market to experience the colorful sights and sounds of Tanzanian daily life. In the evening, enjoy a warm dinner and a comfortable night’s rest as you prepare for the exciting days ahead filled with exploration, culture, and natural beauty.

After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and enjoy a scenic drive toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. This vast volcanic caldera is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, and even the rare black rhino.

Awake to the golden light of dawn spreading over the Serengeti plains — a perfect time to head out for an early morning game drive when predators are most active. Serengeti – Morning Game Drive & Return to Karatu

Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking advantage of the cool, quiet hours when wildlife is most active. The soft morning light offers a perfect opportunity to spot predators finishing their night’s hunt and to capture breathtaking photos of the sunrise over the Savannah.

After breakfast at the lodge, begin your journey back toward Karatu, passing once more through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, enjoy the ever-changing views — from wide open plains to lush forests and small villages that reflect Tanzania’s vibrant rural life.

Tarangire National Park – Departure
