Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by your safari guide from Naleyo Tours and Travels, who will brief you about the exciting journey ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your lodge or take a short walk in the nearby botanical gardens or along Lake Victoria’s shoreline. This day is mainly for relaxation and recovery from your flight, ensuring you are refreshed for the adventures to come. Your overnight stay will be at a comfortable midrange lodge in Entebbe.

Day 2
Transfer to Kibale National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Walk

After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive through Uganda’s lush countryside, tea plantations, and rolling hills as you head toward Kibale Forest National Park, the “Primate Capital of the World.” In the afternoon, you will join a guided trek to track wild chimpanzees, an experience that often rewards visitors with sightings of other primates such as red colobus, black-and-white colobus, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Later, you'll explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a community-guided walk, a haven for birdlife and cultural encounters. You'll end the day with a hearty dinner at the lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast, you'll drive south towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah reserve. On arrival, you'll set out on a rewarding game drive across the Kasenyi plains, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, and with luck, lions and leopards. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that links Lakes George and Edward. The cruise offers close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, elephants cooling off at the shores, and a dazzling array of water birds. Your overnight stay will be at a midrange lodge overlooking the park.

Day 4

After breakfast, you'll take a game drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famously known for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen lounging on fig trees. Afterward, you'll continue your journey through scenic hills and traditional villages towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to almost half of the world’s mountain gorillas. You'll arrive in the evening, relax, and prepare for the next day’s once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Your overnight stay will be at a cozy midrange lodge near Bwindi.

This day marks the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast, you'll proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the dense forest with experienced rangers. Trekking may take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the reward is unforgettable —coming face to face with a gorilla family in their natural habitat. You'll spend an awe-inspiring hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and appreciating this rare wildlife encounter. In the afternoon, you may opt for a cultural experience with the Batwa people, learning about their forest traditions.

Day 6
Return Entebbe – Departure
Return Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast, you'll begin your journey back. If departing from Rwanda, you will drive across the Cyanika or Katuna border into Rwanda and continue to Kigali, where you may do a brief city tour (including the Genocide Memorial and local markets) before your evening departure. Alternatively, you will return to Entebbe for your outbound journey. This marks the end of your safari, leaving you with incredible memories of Uganda’s primates, wildlife, and landscapes.
