Our staff and driver guide will pick you up in the morning from Arusha and then transfer you to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch in hand for a full-day game drive. Tanzania’s third-largest national park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of the park and is famous for hosting some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. You may also see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra. After the game drive, you will head back to your camp or lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits you and you will spend the night.

Day 2

You will have an early morning breakfast, then head out towards Serengeti National Park, traveling through the never-ending grassy plains. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive amidst the vast plains, with the chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be provided during the day-long game drive. The eventful day will end with a hearty dinner and a good night’s rest at your accommodations.

Day 3

Today, you will have the option to either enjoy a relaxed breakfast or depart for a game drive at 9:00 AM with a packed lunch in hand. Alternatively, you can choose an early morning game drive departing at 6:00 AM. Later, you’ll return to your accommodations for breakfast, briefly relax, and then depart for the Central Serengeti with a packed lunch in hand. The four-hour drive to the center will include a mild en route game drive.
The drive south from the Mara River Valley takes you through hills, the Lobo area, woodlands, and back into the Seronera terrain. The central part of the Serengeti—known as the Seronera area—is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, a key water source that attracts wildlife representative of most Serengeti species. In Seronera, watch for the many lion prides that thrive in this region. The eventful day will end with a hearty dinner and a good night’s rest at your accommodations.

During the off-season of the Great Migration, this area is particularly notable for its many lion prides. Their interactions and survival strategies offer an excellent game viewing experience year-round. A picnic lunch will be provided during the full-day drive, which will conclude around 5:00 PM.

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim with a picnic lunch in hand. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. It is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes, and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The eventful day comes to an end with a hearty dinner and a good night’s rest at your accommodations.

Day 8

After a quick breakfast, you will make an early descent into the crater floor at around 8:30 AM. The five-hour game drive on the crater floor will offer plenty of animal action, so keeping your camera ready is highly recommended. African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions are commonly seen. After a picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo Pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the top exit of the crater. You will then be dropped off in Arusha with an incredible experience and many memories to cherish.
