Day 1

This safari has been designed to showcase the best of East Africa's wildlife while ensuring comfort, safety and a relaxed pace that allows you to fully enjoy each national park experience.

The adventure begins in Arusha with a scenic two to two-and-a-half-hour drive to Tarangire. The journey itself is part of the experience, passing through lively towns where you can glimpse local culture and daily life.

Once inside the park, prepare for a full-day game drive in this lush haven. Look out for tree-climbing lion, large herds of elephant and perhaps your first sightings of the Big Five.

Lunch will be enjoyed from your packed lunch boxes beneath a tree while taking in the surrounding views.

As the day winds down, you will drive to your lodge, arriving in time for a hearty dinner and a peaceful night's rest.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, you will set out for a full day of safari adventures in the Serengeti, travelling through the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Between Ngorongoro and Serengeti, you may opt for several optional activities (pre-book and pre-pay). Visit a Maasai village (discover traditional culture and dance) or visit Olduvai Gorge Museum (the 'Cradle of Mankind').

Your expert guide will lead you to prime wildlife-viewing areas in search of more wildlife.

The eastern region surrounds you with endless plains, home to cheetah and some of the largest lion prides, offering ideal photography opportunities. The Serengeti kopjes (rocky outcrops) are well known as leopard territory, giving you the chance to tick more boxes on the Big Five list.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Serengeti, taking in the breathtaking scenery while keeping an eye out for wildlife.

In the evening, you will continue to your lodge for a sundowner followed by a delicious meal under the Serengeti stars.

Day 3

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

We will begin the day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, making the most of your final hours in this extraordinary landscape and enjoying wildlife sightings as the plains come alive in the early light.

At midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch at Naabi Hill Gate, the crossing point into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This scenic viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramas of the Serengeti's endless plains.

After lunch, the journey continues towards the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, where cooler air and rolling green hills provide a refreshing change of scenery.

You can add the following optional activities (pre-book and pre-pay) to today's itinerary: Balloon safari, where you soar above the savannah at sunrise for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, followed by a celebratory champagne drink and bush breakfast after landing. You can also visit a Maasai village or the Olduvai Gorge Museum.

You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon and settle in for a peaceful evening.

Day 4

We will start the day early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to spot massive elephant bulls and some of the largest lions in the region. This natural wildlife haven also offers one of the most important sightings on the Big Five list – the black rhino. In addition, you may encounter some of the biggest herds of buffalo.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool, where you can dine surrounded by incredible scenery while watching the hippos wallow nearby.

After lunch, you will ascend the crater walls and begin the journey towards Arusha town or the airport, marking the conclusion of your safari.
