After breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing. Begin the six-hour round-trip hike through rainforest and alpine zones to the beautiful crater lake at the summit of Mt Bisoke (3,711m/12,178ft). Return to your lodge for rest and dinner.

Hiking at Mt Sabyinyo Foothills or Dian Fossey Tomb Visit
Choose between a four to five-hour hike on the lower slopes of Mt Sabyinyo, known for its dramatic views and diverse wildlife, or a moderate trek to Dian Fossey's tomb, visiting her renowned research site and grave. Both experiences provide cultural and natural insights. The afternoon will be at leisure.

Day 3
Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, enjoy a lively two to three-hour trek to observe the rare golden monkey in their bamboo forest habitat. Following the trek, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you can learn about ongoing conservation efforts and view educational exhibits. Later, return to your lodge for lunch before transferring to Kigali for your onward journey.
