You will be welcomed by your Gorilla Explorers safari guide and then transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. This is a long drive of approximately 6-7 hours, so it’s essential to start early.

On the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Enjoy a guided walking safari to observe these magnificent creatures. After your visit, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and check into your lodge for an overnight stay. Depending on the time of arrival, you may have the opportunity to go on an evening game drive.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, we will transfer to Kibale National Park for an exciting chimp trekking experience the following day. As we travel south, we will take in the stunning views of the Ugandan countryside while leaving Murchison Falls National Park behind. Our route will pass through the key towns of Hoima and Fort Portal, and we expect to arrive at Kibale in the early evening, ready to continue our adventure.

Enjoy the panoramic views of tea plantations and, on clear days, the majestic Rwenzori Mountain Escarpment in the distance.

We will begin our morning with an exciting game drive, where we can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, side-striped jackals, hyenas, leopards, lions, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and giant forest hogs. What a fantastic way to start the day!

After lunch, we will enjoy a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, continuing our wildlife spotting. This time, we can look forward to seeing hippos, buffalo, crocodiles, bathing elephants, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be another highlight of your tour.

As we journey towards Bwindi National Park, our route will take us through the captivating Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its unique population of tree-climbing lions. These incredible felines have developed a fascinating behavior, scaling the tall fig trees to enjoy the warmth and panoramic views offered by their lofty vantage points. This striking display is quite different from the lions found on the expansive Kasenyi plains, where they typically rest on the ground. Although witnessing these majestic creatures in their arboreal habitat isn’t guaranteed, taking a moment to explore Ishasha is an experience not to be missed! After our adventure, we will retire for the night in the enchanting surroundings of Bwindi National Park, where the lush greenery and rich biodiversity await us.

Today marks an exciting adventure that many of you have eagerly anticipated. We will embark on a full-day expedition to track the magnificent mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park. The day will begin with a briefing, where our knowledgeable guides will explain the essential gorilla trekking rules to ensure the safety of both guests and gorillas.

After the briefing, we’ll venture into the Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dense vegetation and rich biodiversity. Our guides will lead us along winding trails, pointing out various plants and animals as we look for signs of gorilla movement, such as broken branches and nests.

After this experience, we’ll return to our accommodations in Bwindi National Park, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventures. Enjoy a cozy evening filled with stories from our trek, making this day truly memorable.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

This is the day you will transfer from Bwindi National Park to Lake Mburo National Park. After arriving at Lake Mburo from Lake Bunyonyi, you will have an option to join an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo to sight wildlife. Alternatively, do a night game drive. If the decision is to do a night game drive at Lake Mburo instead of the afternoon boat trip, take the morning at Lake Bunyonyi and experience the sunrise canoeing experience before driving to Lake Mburo National Park.

We will start the day with early morning game drives at Lake Mburo National Park to spot wildlife not seen at other parks (topi, zebras, and Impalas). Then, after the game drive, we will transfer to Entebbe International Airport. There is a scheduled stopover at the Equator crossing near Masaka for a coffee break and handicraft shopping. After the coffee break, we will drive to Entebbe.
