Start your safari with an early morning pick-up from your hotel/residence in Kigali and drive about 2.5 hours to Akagera National Park. After park entry and a short rest, enjoy a relaxed lunch at your lodge or a picnic. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, searching for giraffes, elephants, antelope, and beautiful birds. Later, enjoy a breathtaking sunset boat safari on Lake Ihema, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and water birds against a golden sky.
