Start the day with an early breakfast before heading to Bwindi park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. Venture into the dense, misty forest with expert guides in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is an unforgettable hour spent observing these majestic primates in their natural habitat—a rare and awe-inspiring experience. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a brief rest. In the afternoon, depart for the scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of East Africa’s most beautiful lakes, famous for its tranquil waters and 29 lush islands.
