Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, the journey continues toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most spectacular safari destinations in Africa. Once inside the crater, you’ll descend into the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, a self-contained ecosystem teeming with wildlife. During your game drive, expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, and, if lucky, the endangered black rhino. The crater floor offers incredible photographic opportunities and close wildlife encounters. A picnic lunch will be served at a safe, scenic spot within the crater. After the safari, you’ll ascend the crater walls and return to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Materuni Waterfalls

Materuni Village, home of the Chagga, sits 15 km from Moshi at Kilimanjaro National Park’s gateway. Your English-speaking guide will pick you up in the morning. After registration at the village office, enjoy a scenic 40-minute walk to Materuni Waterfalls while learning about Chagga culture, village life, and local flora and fauna. On clear days, you may glimpse Kilimanjaro’s summit. End with an interactive coffee tour where you make your own brew, then return to Arusha or the airport.
