You’ll board a small safari plane for a breathtaking flight over Uganda’s lush, rolling hills and dense rainforests. Landing near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, your private guide will be waiting to whisk you away to your jungle lodge tucked in the misty highlands. After lunch and a brief rest, you’ll visit the Batwa people—Uganda’s original forest dwellers—for an unforgettable cultural exchange of song, dance, and storytelling that offers a glimpse into ancient forest life.
The next morning is all about the mighty mountain gorillas. With the help of expert trackers, you’ll venture deep into the forest in search of a gorilla family. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them—watching mothers nurture their young, juveniles tumble in play, and silverbacks stand watch. It’s a moment that changes you. Back at the lodge, relax, relive the experience, and soak in the stillness of the forest around you.

Leaving Bwindi behind, you’ll journey across the savannah and woodlands of Queen Elizabeth National Park—a stretch of wild land where elephants, buffalo, and antelope roam freely. Your drive is part game drive, part scenic safari, with surprises at every turn. Midday, arrive at the Kazinga Channel and enjoy a peaceful boat cruise. Watch hippos bob alongside your vessel and crocodiles bask on the riverbanks while herons and kingfishers fill the skies.
After lunch and your river safari, you’ll continue to Kibale Forest, arriving at your forest lodge by evening. As the sun dips behind the trees, the forest hums with life. Settle in for a hearty dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the rustle of leaves and distant calls of primates in the canopy above.

After a late breakfast and freshening up, it’s time to begin your journey back to Entebbe. The drive offers time to reflect on your rare primate encounters and the untouched beauty of Uganda. Upon arrival, you’ll check in for a restful night in preparation for your early morning flight to Tanzania and the second thrilling half of your East African adventure.

This morning, board your flight from Entebbe to Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll be greeted and transferred to the lively safari town of Arusha. Nestled between the volcanic peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha offers a perfect transition from Uganda’s jungles to Tanzania’s great open plains. Settle into your hotel, enjoy a garden lunch, and take a breath—the next chapter of your adventure begins here.
The following morning, you’ll dive right in with a game drive through Arusha National Park, a hidden gem full of scenic variety. Drive through lush forests, sparkling crater lakes, and open grasslands dotted with giraffes, zebras, and flamingos. Mount Meru provides a dramatic backdrop to your photos, while the park’s diversity offers a preview of the wildlife spectacles to come. Return to your lodge for a restful afternoon or consider an optional visit to the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre before preparing for your journey to Tarangire.
