Day 1

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or lodge in Arusha at 07:00 AM and drive straight to Lake Manyara National Park for your first game drive. Though relatively small, this lush park is rich in biodiversity — home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, baboons, blue monkeys, and large pods of hippos. The groundwater forest and lakeside views offer fantastic photo opportunities with wildlife in the foreground and the sparkling lake behind.

Optional add-ons include a bike tour or boat excursion.

After your game drive, continue to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Prefer Tarangire instead? Swap this day, or add one more to visit both parks.

Around midday, exit Serengeti National Park and begin a scenic en route game drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, taking in sweeping views and occasional wildlife sightings along the way.

Ngorongoro Crater and back to Arusha

It’s the final day of your Haraka Haraka Experience. After an early breakfast, we drive from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, then descend the steep slopes into this breathtaking natural amphitheater, often called the “Garden of Eden.” The crater is teeming with wildlife, and if we’re lucky, we might even spot the endangered black rhino, a rare member of the Big 5. After a spectacular morning game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch by Hippo Lake, followed by a short final game drive. After the maximum 6-hour stay allowed on the crater floor, we ascend and begin the journey back to Arusha, arriving around 5:00 PM (flexible based on flights).
