Day 1

Arusha

Arusha

Today you will be picked up from the airport and driven to your hotel in Arusha. Check-in and drive into Arusha town to explore (depending on your arrival time). Arusha City is situated at the foot of Mount Meru and serves as the gateway to the northern safari circuit. You will overnight at The African Tulip Hotel in Arusha.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast and driven to Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The vast number of baobab trees will catch your eye as you enter the park. The gently rolling countryside is dotted with these majestic trees, which seem to dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. Herds of up to 300 elephants roam in the park with the migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and elands. Drive to your lodge in the park and eat lunch before going on an afternoon game drive. You will overnight at the Tarangire Safari Lodge.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast you will go on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Before arriving in the park you will stop at Mto wa Mbu for a short visit to the local market (optional). Spend the morning inside the national park on a game drive and eat a picnic lunch. After lunch you go on a game drive as you make your way to Karatu town. You will overnight at the Ngorongoro Farm House, which sits on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will depart for Serengeti National park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will have time to stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint along the way. Go on an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, stopping at a picnic site for lunch. The Serengeti is known as one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world and is especially renowned for the “great migration”. Every year more than a million wildebeest and zebras travel through the park in search of fresh grazing and water. After lunch you will go on a game drive as you make your way to your hotel. You will overnight at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge in the park.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart for game drives on the way out to the Ngorongoro Crater. Drive down the Ngorongoro Crater. Also known as the eighth wonder of the world, this heritage center shelters the most beautiful wildlife heaven on earth. Ngorongoro has over 20,000 large animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhino, protected within its rim. You will have a morning game viewing in the crater and then a picnic lunch. After lunch you will do a game viewing drive on the way out, and then drive out of the crater through the Ngorongoro Crater rim forest. You will drive to your hotel which is just outside the Ngorongoro National Park. Your hotel will be Ngorongoro Farm House.

We will start our day by visiting the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes in Lake Eyasi in order to explore their daily activities. After lunch we will drive back to Arusha town, where we will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport.
