3-Day Murchison Falls National Park Excursion

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Have breakfast in the morning, after which you will be picked up from your preferred lodging by our guide or office representative to start your journey northwest to the famous Murchison Falls National Park. If you wish, you can stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking before continuing to the park.

Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a hot lunch and some well-deserved rest. At 3:00 pm, your guide will pick you up for an afternoon game drive. You will see a wide range of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, and more. Later, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Game Drive & Boat Cruise | Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for your second game drive. There is nothing like watching the sunrise while seeing lions or leopards returning from a night of hunting and feeding on prey. Some may even return with fresh kills.

You will return to the lodge for a hot lunch, then prepare for your afternoon boat safari. The boat cruise will be a highlight of your trip. You will see many wild animals, including hippos, elephants, crocodiles, a large variety of birds, and more. The boat will drop you at the base of the magnificent falls, where you will hike to the top, enjoying the sounds of animals and birds, as well as the powerful waters of Murchison Falls crashing on the rocks.

You will meet your guide at the top of the falls, who will transfer you back to the lodge. Another evening game drive is an option as well.

Transition from Murchison Falls National Park to Kampala

Have breakfast in the morning, then get ready to check out of the lodge. Your guide will pick you up after breakfast to begin your journey back to Kampala. You will stop at the top of the falls for more viewing and photo opportunities.

The journey takes five to six hours, depending on the number of stopovers. Your guide will advise you on where to stop for a hot lunch before continuing.

Later, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
