Johannesburg to Hazyview + Afternoon Safari

Morning Departure: Leave Johannesburg via the N12 and N4 highways for a scenic 4.5-hour drive to Kruger National Park. A comfort stop in Middelburg allows you to stretch your legs and grab a quick coffee.

Check-In at Protea Hotel, Hazyview: Upon arrival, settle into your pre-arranged 3- or 4-star lodge. The check-in process takes roughly 30 minutes before heading into the wild.

Afternoon Safari Drive: Embark on a thrilling 4-hour open vehicle safari through either Phabeni Gate or Paul Kruger Gate. After settling park entry and conservation fees, explore Kruger’s wonders — from majestic elephants to elusive leopards. This could be a shared or private experience depending on group size.

Lunch Stop: Enjoy a scenic meal at the Cattle Baron restaurant in Skukuza Camp, overlooking the lush banks of the Sabie River.

Evening at Leisure: After your wildlife drive, return to Hazyview for a buffet dinner and well-deserved rest.

Sunrise Safari + Return to Johannesburg

Early Morning Safari: Rise before dawn and head back into Kruger for a 4.5-hour sunrise safari. This is prime time for spotting big cats as they wrap up their nighttime hunts and hyenas retreat to their dens. Capture incredible views of the African sunrise and observe wildlife in its most active moments.

Departure: After the safari, leave Hazyview around 11:00 AM and journey back to Johannesburg, arriving by approximately 4:00 PM. Guests can be dropped off at their accommodation or OR Tambo International Airport.
