Transfer to Murchison Falls & Evening Safari
As we travel north through Uganda, lush, evergreen tea plantations stretch alongside the road. The rolling hills resemble a beautifully manicured park landscape. Ever wondered how tea is made? Your driver-guide will explain the key steps – plucking, withering, rolling, fermenting, drying, and sorting – as you learn about one of Uganda’s most important agricultural exports.
Today’s journey takes us on a longer drive north to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area. Upon arrival, enjoy a late afternoon game drive across the northern savannah, where you may spot lions, Rothschild’s giraffes, oribis, various antelope species, elephants – and with a bit of luck, even leopards.

Safari & Nile Boat Cruise to Murchison Falls
After a morning game drive along the Victoria Trail to the Nile Delta Point, the route leads to the Top of the Falls. Here, 300 cubic meters of water thunder through a 7-meter-wide gorge, plunging 45 meters into the Victoria Nile. The high humidity creates lush, tropical riverside vegetation – often accompanied by a permanent rainbow effect. In Paara a boat awaits to begin your Nile River Safari. From a safe and close distance, hippos, water snakes, and crocodiles appear like actors on a stage, perfectly framed in the shallow waters. Along the riverbanks, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelopes line up for unforgettable photo moments.

Day 10
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Return to Entebbe
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Return to Entebbe
On the return journey to Entebbe, visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walking safari to observe the endangered southern white rhinos. This wildlife reserve is the only place in Uganda where white rhinoceroses can be tracked on foot in their natural habitat. The sanctuary was established to protect rhinos from poaching and to reintroduce the species to Uganda after it was wiped out during Idi Amin’s turbulent 1970s.
Currently, 32 southern white rhinos live in the reserve, protected day and night by armed rangers. These massive animals, weighing up to 3.5 tons, can be tracked to within 30 meters. Rhinos have poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell, so the approach must always be made against the wind, and tracking may take some time (approx. 1-2 hours).
Continue to the airport for your international departure – or opt for an overnight stay in Entebbe (optional).
