Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted by your driver or tour representative holding a sign with your name. After assisting with your luggage, they will transfer you directly to your hotel in Arusha. The drive typically takes 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic and weather. On arrival, check in and settle into your hotel to rest and prepare for your safari.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a scenic and wildlife-rich reserve famous for its towering baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Upon entering the park, you'll embark on a game drive across its diverse landscapes, which include river valleys, swamps, and open savannahs. As you explore, keep an eye out for lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species that call this park home. The Tarangire River, a key water source during the dry season, attracts a wide variety of animals, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. After an exciting day in the bush, you'll head to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

On day two, you’ll travel to the remote and culturally rich region of Lake Eyasi, nestled south of the Ngorongoro highlands. This day offers a rare opportunity to connect with two of Tanzania’s most fascinating indigenous tribes. In the early morning, you’ll join the Hadzabe, a traditional hunter-gatherer community, for a guided hunting experience using bows and arrows an authentic glimpse into their daily life and survival techniques. Later, you’ll visit the Datoga tribe, skilled blacksmiths and farmers, known for their intricate beadwork and metalcraft. Engage in cultural exchanges, observe their traditional lifestyles, and gain deeper insight into Tanzania’s diverse heritage. After this enriching cultural experience, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Along the way, you may encounter local wildlife and get a closer look at the daily lives of the highland communities. In the afternoon, you'll visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll learn about their customs, livestock-based lifestyle, and vibrant cultural traditions. After breakfast, you'll depart for Serengeti National Park, one of the most celebrated wildlife reserves in the world. As you journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend onto the vast Serengeti plains, the landscape opens up to endless savannahs dotted with acacia trees and teeming with wildlife. Upon entering the park, you’ll enjoy an exciting game drive en route to your camp, with chances to spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and—if you're lucky—the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras. The sheer scale of the Serengeti and its abundant wildlife make for a truly awe-inspiring safari experience. In the evening, you'll arrive at your tented camp in the heart of the bush, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

On your final day, depart early from the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife havens. Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five along with hippos, zebras, flamingos, and other remarkable species in this unique ecosystem. After enjoying a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha. You’ll arrive by evening, concluding your 6-day Big Five Safari and cultural adventure with unforgettable memories.
