Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi Park - Evening game drive

Your adventure begins early with a hotel pick-up in Zanzibar and transfer to the ferry terminal. Enjoy a 2-hour ferry ride to Dar es Salaam, where our friendly driver-guide will meet you. From there, travel in a 4x4 safari jeep through scenic landscapes, villages, and the Uluguru Mountains to Mikumi National Park (5 to 6 hours). Upon arrival, check in at Mikumi Bandas, a comfortable and budget-friendly lodge near the park. After lunch and a short rest, head out for an exciting afternoon game drive. Mikumi is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and more. Your guide will take you to the best spots for amazing wildlife viewing. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and a peaceful night.

Mikumi Safari – Flight to Zanzibar – Hotel Drop-off

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to catch animals as they are more active in the cool morning hours. You might see predators hunting or large herds moving across the plains.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and relax a bit before checking out. You’ll then begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam, enjoying the countryside views.

In the evening, board a domestic flight back to Zanzibar (approx. 30 hour). Upon landing, our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your pre-booked hotel in Zanzibar.

Your safari ends with unforgettable memories and incredible photos of the Tanzanian wildlife and nature.
