Meet and greet at kigali International Airport (or a hotel in kigali) by your Rotim guide. Receive a briefing about your upcoming safari adventure before embarking on the scenic drive to Bwindi (8–9 hours). Enjoy views of rolling hills, local villages, tea plantations, and beautiful countryside. Lunch stop will be in kabale of kisoro town, with an optional to have a coffee break or a bit.

Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you can relax and prepare for your gorilla trek the following day.

Enjoy an early breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for a thorough briefing by the rangers. Set off on your gorilla tracking through dense rainforest and steep terrain, which can last between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Spend a magical hour observing a habituated gorilla family as they feed, play, and interact. Don’t forget to bring your cameras and enough water for the track. In the afternoon, choose from optional activities such as visiting a local Batwa (pygmy) community, taking a guided village walk, or relaxing at the lodge while enjoying views of the misty forest.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the breathtaking “neck” of Bwindi, heading towards the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park a journey of approximately 4 to 5 hours. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive in Ishasha, renowned for its rare and fascinating tree-climbing lions, often spotted resting lazily atop sprawling fig trees. This unique wildlife spectacle offers an unforgettable safari experience unlike any other.

Following the game drive, continue your journey to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will spend the night immersed in the stunning natural surroundings and tranquil atmosphere of this diverse ecosystem.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive across the vast Kasenyi Plains, seeking majestic elephants, sturdy buffalo, elegant Uganda kobs, elusive leopards, and, with luck, lions hunting. The plains come alive at dawn, offering breathtaking wildlife views. After the safari, return to the lodge for a relaxing lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa’s richest wildlife corridors. Get close to hippos wallowing, crocodiles sunning, playful elephants, and grazing buffalo herds. Birdlife abounds, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. Take in stunning sunset views on your return, followed by an optional evening game drive.

For wildlife lovers, an optional guided walk to mongoose habitats can be arranged, providing a chance to spot these quick and fascinating mammals in the wild.

An optional stop can be made at kissoro town and enjoying a coffee break, and picking up final souvenirs or handmade crafts. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at kigali International Airport for your departure or at your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan safari adventure.
