You'll begin your safari with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, and head south through the scenic Athi Plains toward Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. After checking into AA Lodge or a similar midrange lodge and enjoying lunch, you'll embark on an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, and birdlife, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Africa’s tallest peak. You'll return for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

You'll enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli’s open plains, swampy wetlands, and acacia woodlands on morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is famed for its large elephant herds, often seen crossing in front of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. Between drives, you'll relax at your lodge. Optional visits to a local Maasai village offer cultural insight and interaction. Your overnight stay will be at your lodge with dinner provided.

After an early breakfast, you'll depart Amboseli and drive north through the Great Rift Valley, enjoying changing landscapes along the way. You'll arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon and check into your midrange lodge. You'll head out on a late afternoon game drive, where you may spot flamingos, white and black rhinos, and tree-climbing lions. You'll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
