Upon your arrival in Rwanda, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Kigali International Airport. They will be holding an A4 sign with your name clearly printed for easy identification. From there, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and a short rest. Later, you will embark on a guided Kigali city tour, which includes a poignant visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This site offers a moving and informative insight into Rwanda’s history and the events of the 1994 genocide. It serves as a powerful tribute to the lives lost and a symbol of national resilience. After the visit, you will return to the lodge to relax and unwind for the evening, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

Drive to Akagera National Park, Followed by a Boat Safari and Game Drive

After breakfast, you will set off for Akagera National Park, where you'll enjoy a short game drive upon arrival before checking in at your lodge. After settling in, you'll have lunch and prepare for a scenic boat trip on Lake Ihema, where you can observe hippos and crocodiles either in the water or basking along the shores. Between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, you’ll embark on a three-hour boat cruise, offering a unique opportunity to experience the park’s aquatic wildlife.

Following the cruise, you'll head out for an evening game drive, where you may encounter some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. The park is home to a variety of large mammals, including lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and hippos, all offering excellent opportunities for photography. After the game drive, you'll return to the lodge for the evening.

We start the day early and head out after breakfast for a morning game drive in Akagera National Park. During the drive, we'll be on the lookout for large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, as well as the recently reintroduced lions and rhinos. The park offers a diverse range of habitats that support a rich variety of wildlife and is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with over 500 bird species recorded.

Around midday, we begin our drive back to Kigali, with a lunch stop along the way.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will travel north to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival in Musanze, you will visit the Dian Fossey Center. Afterwards, you’ll explore the Musanze Caves, which were formed from basaltic lava flows originating from Mount Bisoke and Mount Sabyinyo. These caves are among the top attractions in the Musanze District and hold historical significance, as they were once used by the local Kinyarwanda communities for the coronation ceremonies of their kings.

In the evening, you will visit a local community cultural village where you can experience Rwandan culture firsthand, including traditional dance performances.

After the lake activity, you will begin your drive back to Kigali, passing through the picturesque countryside. Upon arrival in Kigali, depending on your schedule, you may have some time for last-minute shopping or a brief city stop.
