Day 1

You’ll begin your journey with a flight to Kisoro Airstrip, offering breathtaking aerial views of Uganda’s beautiful landscape. From there, our team will transfer you approximately a 40-minute drive to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwest. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the Lodge, followed by a relaxing afternoon at the lodge as you prepare for the exciting adventure that awaits the next day.

Day 2

Your day begins with an early breakfast at 6:30 AM, followed by a transfer to the park quarters, where you'll join other trekkers for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. With a packed lunch in hand, you’ll embark on an unforgettable journey through thick vegetation and tangled creepers in search of the gorillas a trek that can take anywhere from one to eight hours, depending on their location.

As you navigate the dense forest, crisscrossed by animal trails, you’ll have the rare opportunity to observe this unique ecosystem. Once the gorillas are located, you’ll spend a precious hour in their presence, observing their behavior in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to the lodge to relax and refresh. Later in the day, you may choose to take a guided walk through the nearby village to experience local culture and life.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale National Park and Bigodi Swamp walk

After an early breakfast, you'll begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, with a lunch stop in the Fort Portal area near the park. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of Uganda’s countryside, including stretches of remote villages and lush tea plantations.

As you approach Fort Portal, you’ll be treated to breathtaking volcanic landscapes framed by the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, whose towering presence casts a dramatic backdrop over the region.

Upon arrival at the park, you’ll check into your lodge and take some time to relax. Later in the day, you'll visit the Bigodi Wetlands, located on the eastern edge of Kibale Forest. There, you'll take a guided nature walk through this vibrant ecosystem, offering the chance to spot a rich variety of bird species and primates, including several types of monkeys.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Entebbe

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters to meet your ranger guides for a pre-trek briefing. From there, you'll begin your chimpanzee trekking adventure through the forest, home to several well-habituated chimpanzee communities. Up to three large chimpanzee groups in the area have been trained for visitor trekking, making sightings highly likely.

With the help of expert trackers who are familiar with the movement patterns of each group, your guides will lead you to the most active locations. As you walk through the lush forest, you'll also have the chance to encounter a variety of wildlife, including red colobus, L’Hoest’s, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and vervet monkeys.

After the trek, return to your lodge to relax before being transferred to Kasese Airfield for your flight back to Entebbe.
