Day 3

After the trek, return to your lodge or a nearby spot for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community, the forest’s original inhabitants, to experience their rich culture through storytelling, traditional dances, and crafts. Your route takes you through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, specifically the Ishasha sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival, embark on a 2–3 hour game drive through Ishasha, where you may also spot elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes of open savannah dotted with fig trees where lions rest in the branches. After the game drive, continue your scenic journey toward Kibale, passing through charming rural villages and rolling hills. Arrive at your lodge in Kibale by late afternoon to check in and relax.
