3-Day Mikumi Adventure - Start & End in Zanzibar

Transfer to Mikumi National Park

You will be picked up at 5:00am from your hotel and transferred to the Zanzibar ferry. The ferry from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam takes about one and a half hours. At around 9:30am, you will depart from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro village, travelling for approximately two hours by electric train. From Morogoro, continue by private car to Mikumi, a journey of around two hours. After arriving at the hotel, you will have about two hours to relax before heading out to visit a Maasai village. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian in Mikumi.

Mikumi National Park

After a hearty breakfast at Camp Bastian Mikumi, you will set off in a safari vehicle for a thrilling full-day game drive through Mikumi National Park. This vast wilderness is home to iconic African wildlife – from elephant and giraffe to lion, zebra and herds of antelope roaming freely across the savanna. You will spend the day exploring different areas of the park, soaking in the natural beauty and capturing unforgettable moments. As the sun begins to set, you will return to Camp Bastian Mikumi to unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner. An overnight stay at the camp provides a peaceful end to an exhilarating day.

Mikumi National Park to Zanzibar

Early in the morning at 6:00am, after breakfast, you will depart from Mikumi by private car, heading back to Morogoro. At around 9:30am, you will board the electric train to Dar es Salaam, with an expected arrival at 11:50am. From there, you will continue your journey with a speedboat transfer across the waters to Zanzibar.
