Day 1
This is an excursion that best fits animal lovers. For the love of wild animals David Sheldrick is one of the most successful elephant orphanage and rescue centres in the world. It is one of the oldest and leading charity conservation organisations in the world. You expect to see elephants feeding and taking mud bath. These is where you elephants are taken care of and at a certain age they are released to the wild. Our driver guide will pick you in the morning for this activity in Sheldrick. Immediately after one hour you will visit Giraffe Centre where you will have a chance to observe, touch and feed the giraffe. The centre is home to the endangered Rothschild's giraffe which is found in Lake Nakuru Park and Samburu, a subspecies distinguished by its lighter coat and fewer or no spots below the knees. You will observe how the giraffes use their long prehensile tongue to strip leaves from the acacia branches. After this activity you will be dropped back to the hotel or pick-up point.
