Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

At 6:00 am (pick-up time may vary depending on your hotel's location in Zanzibar), a driver will take you to the airport for your 8:00 am flight to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, your driver-guide will meet you and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park, about 1.5 hours away. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about the region’s history and the culture of the Maasai people.

Tarangire is famous for its rich biodiversity and large elephant herds, set among varied landscapes—from grassy savannas to seasonal swamps, all connected by the Tarangire River. You may witness lions on the hunt or leopards resting in the trees. Enjoy a packed lunch within the park and continue your wildlife viewing throughout the afternoon.

The game drive concludes around 4:00 pm. You'll then head to your lodge for a relaxing evening, complete with dinner and an overnight stay in comfort.

Game Drive Ngorongoro Crater and Flight back to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast at 6:00 am, you’ll depart for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. Starting early allows for breathtaking morning views of the crater and the best chances to observe active wildlife.

Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. It’s considered one of Africa’s Natural Wonders and is home to around 30,000 large animals, including elephants, lions, rhinos, buffaloes, and cheetahs. The crater also hosts a wide variety of birdlife, such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. With its dense wildlife population, you're likely to encounter many animals in a short period.

The game drive will conclude in the early afternoon, giving you time to travel back to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm flight to Zanzibar. Upon landing, a driver will be waiting to return you to your hotel, marking the end of your safari adventure.
