After breakfast, your Highneck Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation to begin the day’s adventure. You’ll head to Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about two and a half hours on well-paved roads. Named after the Tarangire River, the lifeline for wildlife during the dry season, this park is renowned for its impressive herds of elephants that often gather near the riverbanks.

As you explore, you may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeest, and possibly predators like lions and leopards lurking nearby. Tarangire boasts the highest variety of bird species found anywhere on Earth, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Scattered across the landscape are majestic baobab trees, some estimated to be over a thousand years old, adding to the park’s unique beauty. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park.

After breakfast, you'll journey into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning natural amphitheater formed over two million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption. It is the world’s largest intact caldera and serves as a rich haven for wildlife. Within its steep volcanic walls lies a diverse landscape of golden grasslands, sparkling lakes, verdant swamps, and acacia-dotted woodlands.
