Day 2

After an early breakfast in Arusha, your safari adventure begins as you depart for the Southern Serengeti – Ndutu Area, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a scenic drive through Maasai villages and the vast highlands before descending onto the Ndutu plains, a key part of the Great Migration route. Along the way, you'll enjoy game viewing en route and may stop for lunch in a picturesque spot. Upon arrival in Ndutu, you’ll dive straight into an afternoon game drive, where you can expect to see wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and big cats, especially during the calving season. In the evening, check in at your camp or lodge and relax under the stars as you prepare for more wildlife encounters.

Today is dedicated to exploring the rich wildlife of the Ndutu plains on a full-day game drive. Located in the Southern Serengeti ecosystem, this area is renowned for the Great Migration’s calving season between December and April. You’ll set out early in the morning to catch the best wildlife activity—large herds of wildebeest and zebras, playful newborn calves, and predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas on the hunt. The landscape offers open plains dotted with acacia trees and seasonal lakes, creating perfect backdrops for photography. With a picnic lunch in the bush, you’ll maximize your time in the wild before returning to camp in the evening for a warm dinner and stories around the campfire.

After an early breakfast at the camp, you'll head out for a memorable game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five in a single day. As you explore the crater floor, you’ll enjoy incredible sightings of elephants, lions, hippos, and possibly the elusive black rhino. A picnic lunch will be served in a scenic spot within the crater. After the game drive, you’ll begin your drive back to Arusha. Depending on your travel plans, you'll either be dropped off at your hotel for the night or transferred directly to the airport for your onward flight.
