Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You’ll be picked up from your Arusha hotel or directly from Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport for a scenic 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. On arrival, we’ll head straight into a full-day game drive, exploring the park’s stunning landscapes and rich wildlife. A hot lunch will be enjoyed inside the park, right in the heart of nature.

Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant herds—sometimes up to 300 strong—along with wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, gazelles, and many more. Predators are never far behind, making the game viewing here unforgettable.

This is also the only park in Tanzania where you can regularly see the rare fringe-eared oryx and the elegant gerenuk. During the dry season, Tarangire becomes a lifeline for migrating animals, attracting incredible concentrations of wildlife.

By evening, we’ll head to Kankari Lodge for a hearty dinner and a comfortable night’s rest.

We’ll arrive in Serengeti around mid-afternoon, just in time for an evening game drive in the Central Serengeti—perfect for catching the golden sunset over the endless plains. Later, we’ll settle in at Serengeti Classic Camp for dinner and an overnight stay right in the heart of the park.

Serengeti is best known for its vast open plains and, of course, the spectacular wildebeest migration.
