Day 1

Arusha - Serengeti NationalPark

Arusha - Serengeti NationalPark

After breakfast, you'll head out to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration—massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson's gazelles on the move. During the short rains (October–November), the herds typically migrate from Kenya’s Masai Mara into Serengeti’s northwest, heading toward the southern plains. After the long rains (April–June), they make their way back through the western and northwestern corridors. Keep in mind, these patterns can shift depending on rainfall.

Your expert guide will track the herds and position you at the best viewing spots—often where predators like lions and cheetahs follow close behind. If luck is on your side, you might even witness a dramatic chase or hunt. After an exciting day in the wild, you’ll unwind and spend the night at the beautiful Matawi Serengeti Camp.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

Central Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast around 6:30 a.m., you’ll set off on a morning game drive across the Serengeti plains, with great chances to spot wildlife while the animals are most active. Around midday, you’ll stop at a scenic picnic site for lunch and begin packing up. As you exit the park, enjoy a final game drive en route to the Ngorongoro area. After about a 2-hour drive, you’ll arrive near the crater rim and settle in for the night at Angata Ngorongoro Camp.

After an early breakfast around 6:15 a.m., you’ll descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Your main goal this morning is to spot the elusive black rhino—one of the hardest animals to find in this wildlife-rich area, where other species roam more openly across the crater floor.

Following a picnic lunch, your safari continues with more wildlife viewing in this breathtaking natural amphitheater. Later in the afternoon, you’ll begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening with unforgettable memories from your adventure.
