Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After a hearty breakfast, or upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its rolling savannahs and majestic ancient baobab trees. The park is home to large herds of elephants and a wide variety of wildlife that gather along the Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline during the dry season.

Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, keeping an eye out for lions resting under acacia trees, elusive leopards, and flocks of colorful birds that make Tarangire a photographer’s paradise.

In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to your comfortable lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. Descend approximately 600 meters to the crater floor for an exciting game drive, surrounded by dramatic walls and lush grasslands.

Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, zebras, hippos, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch inside the crater before returning to Arusha, arriving in the evening in time for your departure.
