Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After being picked up at the hotel or the airport you will depart for Tarangire, which is Tanzania's third-largest national park and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park—they dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. Enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Central Serengeti is well known for its high concentration of wildlife, making game drives incredibly rewarding in any season. Large prides of lions are commonly seen resting on kopjes or hunting across the plains, while leopards are often spotted along the riverine forests. You may also encounter cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and countless antelopes.

During the Great Migration, thousands of wildebeests and zebras pass through this area in search of fresh grazing, creating dramatic wildlife scenes. Thanks to its permanent water sources, Central Serengeti offers excellent game viewing year-round, making it a highlight of any Tanzania safari experience.

Serengeti National Park to ngorongoro crater

Serengeti is best known for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing, followed closely by predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The park is also home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — making it a prime safari destination.

The landscape varies from vast open savannah and rocky kopjes to riverine forests and acacia woodlands, supporting an incredible variety of wildlife and over 500 bird species. Game drives in Serengeti provide unforgettable opportunities to witness natural predator-prey interactions and breathtaking African sunsets.

This massive volcanic caldera is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, offering one of the best opportunities to see the Big Five in a single day. As you descend 600 meters into the crater, you will explore diverse habitats including open grasslands, acacia forests, and soda lakes. Expect to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and if lucky, the rare black rhino. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the crater surrounded by spectacular scenery.

After this unforgettable experience, you will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for another exciting game drive.
