Day 1

Flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Your day begins early at 6:00 AM (pick-up time may vary depending on your hotel location in Zanzibar). A driver will transfer you to the airport for your 8:00 AM flight to Central Serengeti (Seronera airstrip). Upon arrival at 10:40 AM, your safari guide will meet you for your first game drive.

Central Serengeti is renowned for its rich wildlife, particularly the Big Five. The region hosts one of Africa’s largest lion populations, estimated at over 3,000. Leopards are frequently spotted in the Seronera area, and the region is also home to around 1,000 African elephants. This is one of the best places to see the Big Five in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park.

Dinner will be served at your lodge or tented camp between 7:00 and 9:30 PM.

Main Destination:
Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

Ngorongoro Crater (Rhinos & Flamingos)

Start your day early with breakfast before departing on a game drive transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive takes around two hours, with stops along the way to spot wildlife.

Ngorongoro’s main attraction is its massive volcanic crater—the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. Spanning 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep, it covers about 300 square kilometers. Inside, you'll explore Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwest, known for sightings of black rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and other water birds.

Enjoy a full-day game drive in this incredible landscape. The drive will end at 4:00 PM, after which you'll head to your lodge, located about 45 minutes from the Ngorongoro gate.

We recommend an early return so you can take advantage of the lodge’s facilities, including the swimming pool and other amenities. Dinner will be served at the lodge in the evening.
