Today, a representative from Rotim Gorilla Tours will meet you and drive you to Musanze Town, near Volcanoes National Park, in preparation for golden monkey trekking tomorrow. If time allows, you can enjoy a brief city tour before departing Kigali, known for its beauty and cleanliness.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you'll head to Volcanoes National Park for a briefing before starting your golden monkey trek in the bamboo forest. Often considered the next best experience after gorilla trekking, this activity allows you one hour with these stunning Albertine Rift endemics. After the trek, you’ll be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, where you'll settle in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in preparation for gorilla trekking.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. For 20 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After tracking, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s most beautiful lake. While here, you could opt for a swim in the second deepest lake in Africa or explore the surrounding communities on foot.

Today, you will be transferred back to Kigali, enjoying scenic views along the way as you drive through the lush hills and countryside. Depending on your available time, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful and moving tribute to Rwanda’s history, offering insight into the nation’s journey of resilience and healing. You can also explore local craft markets for unique handmade souvenirs, including traditional fabrics, wood carvings, and woven baskets a perfect way to support local artisans and take a piece of Rwanda home with you.
