Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our dedicated driver will be waiting to warmly welcome you. You’ll easily spot them holding a sign with your name, ready to provide a smooth and comfortable transfer to the charming Salinero Hotel.

Once at the hotel, you will be served a delicious meal to help you settle in and recharge. Later in the day, you’ll meet with our experienced mountain coordinators and your trekking guide for a comprehensive pre-trek briefing—an exciting opportunity to learn more about the adventure that lies ahead.

Take time to unwind and enjoy the serene atmosphere of Salinero Hotel, featuring a refreshing swimming pool, a lush garden, and an inviting bar and restaurant, all designed to make your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Umbwe Gate, where your exciting trek begins. The trail leads you through a dense and vibrant rainforest, featuring a steep and demanding ascent that offers a truly immersive wilderness experience. As you make your way upward, you’ll be surrounded by rich vegetation, towering trees, and the unique atmosphere of the mountain's lower slopes.

Upon arrival at Umbwe Camp, a hot, freshly prepared meal will be served by our professional chef. This first leg of the journey, though physically challenging, is a rewarding introduction to the remarkable adventure ahead. Spend the evening at the camp, nestled deep within the lush forest, where you can unwind and recharge in preparation for the next day’s ascent.

Begin your day with an early breakfast before setting out on a challenging trek to Barranco Camp. This stage of the journey involves a series of steep ascents and descents, as you make your way through the striking landscapes of the Barranco Valley. The trail is both physically demanding and visually rewarding, offering dramatic views along the way.

Upon reaching Barranco Camp, nestled beneath the imposing Barranco Wall, you’ll be greeted with breathtaking scenery—an ideal location for acclimatization. Enjoy a hearty lunch prepared by our chef as you take in the stunning surroundings.

The remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax and unwind, allowing your body to rest and adjust to the altitude. This well-earned pause will help ensure you're fully recharged and ready for the next leg of your Kilimanjaro adventure.

Begin your day early with a wake-up call and a nourishing breakfast to prepare for the day’s trek. Today’s journey includes the ascent of the iconic Barranco Wall—a steep yet highly rewarding climb that offers spectacular views and a true sense of accomplishment.
After successfully navigating the Wall, you’ll descend into the picturesque Karanga Valley, renowned for its lush terrain and stunning landscapes.
In the afternoon, you’ll take part in an acclimatization hike towards Barafu Camp, ascending approximately 200 meters before returning to Karanga Camp. This important activity supports your body’s adjustment to the altitude and enhances your chances of a successful summit. After your meal, your experienced mountain guide will conduct a detailed briefing on the following day’s trek, including the route, expected challenges, and key preparation tips to ensure you’re fully ready for the journey ahead.

Begin your day with an early wake-up call and a hearty breakfast to prepare for your ascent to Barafu Camp. The trail to Barafu features diverse terrain, including rocky sections and gradual slopes, offering panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s high-altitude landscapes.
As you gain elevation, maintaining a steady pace and focusing on acclimatization is essential to help minimize the risk of altitude-related symptoms. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp.
Following your meal, take time to rest and recover, conserving energy for the demanding trek ahead. In the evening, your experienced guide will provide a comprehensive briefing on the upcoming summit attempt, detailing the route, anticipated challenges, safety protocols, and essential preparations.
Ensure you get as much rest as possible—your summit push begins later in the evening under the starlit sky.

Day 6

Barafu Camp to Summit (Uhuru Peak) the Descending to Mweka Camp

Your summit attempt begins around 11:30 PM with tea and biscuits before heading out. The trail ascends northwest through loose scree toward Stella Point (5,685m), taking about 6 hours—the most challenging part of the climb. After a short rest at Stella Point, you may witness a breathtaking sunrise, weather permitting. From there, it’s a 2-hour trek along a snow-covered path to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Due to the extreme altitude and cold, time at the summit is limited. After celebrating, descend back to Barafu Camp (4,640m) for a brief rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp (3,090m), where you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at Mweka Camp, begin your final descent to Mweka Gate (1,650m), a trek of about 10 km taking 4–5 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred back to Salinero Hotel, where a hot lunch and refreshing shower await. At the end of your trek, tipping the mountain crew is highly encouraged and appreciated—special envelopes are available at the hotel for your convenience.

After some rest, you’ll receive a detailed briefing on available packages.
