Day 2

After an early breakfast, meet your experienced safari guide who will brief you on the journey ahead before setting off towards Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2-hour scenic drive from Arusha. Along the way, you’ll pass through Maasai homelands, acacia-dotted plains, and bustling rural life. Upon entering the park, your game drive begins immediately.
Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and impalas. The life-giving Tarangire River attracts a multitude of animals, especially during the dry season. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated spot overlooking the landscape.
Continue exploring the park in the afternoon, watching for predators in the tall grasses or birds nesting in the canopy above. After a fulfilling day of game viewing, you will head to your lodge on the escarpment or nearby highlands for a well-earned dinner and overnight stay.

Today’s journey takes you from the green hills of Karatu into the heart of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, crossing through the forested crater highlands before descending into the open plains of Ndutu, a seasonal wildlife-rich region in the southern Serengeti ecosystem.
Between December and April, the Ndutu area becomes the epicenter of the Great Migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather to give birth to their young. The landscape is alive with movement and drama as predators—especially lions and cheetahs—take advantage of the seasonal abundance.
You will enjoy a full day of game driving, pausing to observe calving wildebeest, stalking big cats, and the sheer scale of the migration. Your guide will navigate based on recent wildlife sightings to offer the best experience. After an adventurous day, head to your bush camp nestled in the wild for a night under the stars, listening to the sounds of the African savannah.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Ndutu region, a chance to capture the golden morning light and witness predators at their most active. Watch elephants moving through woodlands, giraffes grazing acacia trees, and perhaps a lion pride lounging after a hunt.
Later in the day, you’ll begin your ascent back into the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing through ever-changing terrain—open plains giving way to lush forests and volcanic ridges. Arrive near the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where cooler air, sweeping views, and thick forests await. Settle into your lodge and prepare for the next day’s descent into one of the world’s most biodiverse wildlife havens.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Rise early for a hot breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast and ancient caldera often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater floor, with its permanent water sources and rich volcanic soil, supports an astonishing density of wildlife. Here, you’ll likely encounter elephants, hippos, lions, hyenas, and, if lucky, the elusive black rhino.
The dramatic landscape open plains, acacia forests, soda lakes, and marshlands—offers unforgettable photography opportunities and immersive wildlife encounters. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before beginning your ascent to the rim in the early afternoon.
From there, return to Arusha by late afternoon, where your safari ends. Depending on your onward travel plans, you may be transferred to your lodge or directly to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar or homeward journey.
