This experience is highly recommended for those seeking a deeper connection with the landscape—but it's not mandatory. When the herds are close to camp, usually between mid-October and mid-July, the sleep-out is not essential, allowing for equally rich wildlife viewing near the lodge. Whether you choose the sleep-out or return to King Lewanika Lodge, your day ends with stories around the fire and a night immersed in wild serenity.
