After a light breakfast at your tented camp, embark on a final game drive, taking advantage of the golden light as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are still active. As the sun climbs higher, begin the scenic journey out of the Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy game viewing on route—this corridor is known for dramatic landscapes and migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest, often shadowed by opportunistic predators.
Pause for a picnic lunch at a designated site with panoramic views before ascending to the lush highlands of Ngorongoro. By late afternoon, arrive in Karatu, a small farming town on the forested outer slopes of the crater.
